This tutorial is mainly about the commands you can use to get a good IRC-channel going. I wont be using many pictures because its mainly the commands you need to do all of this and i dont think its that hard to know how to type ;)If you wish a tutorial on Xchat or Xchat2 then i can make  one but this is about how to get a good channel up and running.

Step 1: Choose the name you want for your channel, if you find one try to join it by typing in the chatbar; /join #yourchannelname. IF there are people in that chat it means that the name you wanted is allready taken and you will have to find an other name. If there is nobody in the channel yet that means you can make it yours.

Step 2: If you want to have Q in your channel to keep it yours you first need to be authed, this means you need to have an accound on Quakenet. You can do this by typing:
/msg Q HELLO youremail@address youremail@address, e.g.: /msg Q HELLO vega@gmail.com vega@gmail.com. You will then recieve an email with a link in it, click on it and a site will pop up. Fill in everything you need to and at the end you will recieve your password. From now on you can auth by doing: /auth username password. If this doesn't work you can also do: /msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org AUTH username password, but this isn't recommended because of security reasons. If you want to know how to get automaticly authed when you start your irc client you can always contact my by sending me a pm or contact me on irc.

Step 3: Now for requestion the bot 'Q' to your channel you dont only have to be authed you also need at least 3 additional users in your channel and you need to be in there for +/- 4 hours. If you have all that you can request for Q by typing: /msg R REQUESTBOT #channel, e.g.: /msg R REQUESTBOT #element.nexuiz. When you have this done the channel is yours and you can start recruiting people on it.

Additional commands:

- Auto opping people on your channel:/msg Q chanlev #channel username +ao. Fill in #channel with your channel and username with the person you wish to automaticly op when he joins in the your channel.

- Auto giving a 'voice' to people to join: This is pretty much pointless but our channels have it. To do it for everybody who enters type: /msg Q chanflags #channel +gv. If you only want to do it for a specific person (this is more recommended) type: /msg Q chanlev #channel username +gv.

- How to set a topic on your channel: If you wish to set a topic on your channel type: /msg Q SETTOPIC #channel, e.g.: /msg Q SETTOPIC #element.nexuiz also join us on our forum: https://element-nex.forumotion.com/.

- How to permban somebody from your channel: If you wish to permban somebody from your channel type: /msg Q PERMBAN #channel nick!ident@host.com, e.g. /msg Q PERMBAN #element.nexuiz agev@host.com

- How to kick somebody from your channel: This really is the most easy commands you will find, just do: /kick username

- How to type in colors: This would make this tutorial so long so here's a good tutorial i found on it: http://www.ircbeginner.com/ircinfo/colors.html

If you have questions or if you want me to find out more commands that you wish to use, just let me know and i'll do my best to find out how to do it and i'll add it to this tutorial.
