with the goblin i placed him on a white background and he looked like a grey background, it might be a glitch or something

i've got an algorhythm for the main game rendering in my mind. have to try it out in code Very Happy
every block on the map will have a number identifier. and that number will be added/subtracted based on the character's position, so that the blocks move and the player remains in the center of the map

after finally deciding to restart work on this game, here i am, restarting work on this game xD
now i finally got the sound engine right and i am very close to finding an optimal solution for the map rendering (map generator will become a thing in a few days, after i manage to understand how to generate a plain island and not just bits everywhere)

Map rendering bits done Smile rendering each block on a 64x64 space. Now i have to make it move block by block, not with an uniform speed. Will try with a character speed of 64

if you're programming it for Windows it souldn't be a problem to get it running on a windows phone, but I guess that you cannot simply convert it to android or ios ...

It is the 3rd time i find myself announcing that i'm restarting work on this game. But now i'm for real! I won't stop this from happening! I will work until the cows come home and my nails fall off! Thanks to a reliable open-source programming language called SDL, i can now restart work on this amazing idea that vega and i came up with roughly 2 years ago. Once and for all, the land of Uthorsgarde shall become reality! Let the vile beast Vaerghon rot in hell after the holy judgment of the player!

fixed a texture rendering related memory leak where loading a background caused stuff to lag around. things should go much quicker from now on! Very Happy
