We just dont need a sword atm cause i will attatch the sword directly to the character.

As a final backup method, if none of the compilers work, i'll switch to Microsoft XNA. This idea came in my mind before playing Terraria with Slaughter tonight. Well, Terraria is written in XNA and works perfect. Also, people seem to like XNA. It's rather easy and everything works out of the box. It's just that i need to install XNA Game Studio, which i don't think is free, but warez is our friend Wink

no you won't ;)there are still many things to be done such as potions, magical items, world textures, maybe in the meantime we think of other mobs etc.

btw, he suggested a name for our game - Curse of the Fallen Warriors

Uh my - sorry for the late reply! I didnĀ“t notice the topic till now! But great stuff. Did you know that in the old days there were many 2D pixel-art RPGs? Many of them are medieval based - few of them where space based! I especially enjoyed "Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday"

Or even better - do a google image search - this will give you a nice impression of the game

So my 2 cents to your idea - why not make a "Nexuiz 2D: Countdown to ..."
Space & SciFI based & with an epic background story for Nexuiz and cool items like grapling hook.

[Vega - you also could use the storyline to bash the xonotic dev who pissed you off by making him an evil space overlord who threatens the unity of some kind of federation, or i.d.k.]
