Working on a new game

Hello, everyone.

An idea came to my mind yesterday - making a pixel art dungeon-themed rpg Very Happy
The action takes place in the medieval times, so the game will be written in a rather Old English style xD
So i'm gonna start off this holiday, though i still need to learn lots of SDL and OpenGL :/
But these won't be to hard because basically i just need to draw stuff on screen with SDL and OpenGL. The rest is pure object-oriented C++ which i know a bit.
So if you'd like to contribute to this project, be it anything - textures, ideas, binary codes, everything, i shall build a GitHub tree for it so you can add your own ideas into the project Wink
Now i need some of your help:
1. What name should the game have?
2. What types of monsters would you like to see ingame?
3. What kinds of dungeons should i add?

neXus seems to have forgot that i will also contribute in the making of, we worked some ideas out together last night. These ideas are listed below + my own additions.

Current ideas:
- 2D 8bit/16bit Dungeon RPG
- Auld English
- Possible characters: Knight, Archer and Wizard
- Random boss generator
- Possible bosses: Dragon, Centaur, Cyclopse and Demon
- Normal mobs (in difficult order): rats, imps, wolfs, trolls, goblins, rabid dogs, orcs, golems, witches, skeletals and fallen knights (=ghosts)

I also wrote in short what the storyline could be:
Some important guy says (not the king): *bossname* has attacked *villagename* and has stolen *object*. After its attack it went back into its dungeon. Yet the path to conquer is long and full of hardships and unpleasant surprises. Not only is the dungeon a maze, its habitants are monsters from the depts of the earth. The king of *villagename* has send many heros into the dungeon, yet none of them returned. Therefor he challenges any human, brave enough, to enter the dungeon and conquer *bossname* and retrieve the object. When that man or women conquers, he/she will receive 1000000 gold coins. If he/she fails, he/she will find his/her maker inside the dungeon. (means he/She will die) But be warned, on the dungeon rests a spell: Fallen knights that didn’t die in a honourable fight, come back in the dungeon to fight any intruders. The only way of killing them is by this sword/staff/bow, crafted by the men of the far north. It’s the last one we have, so you are our last chance of retrieving *object*! Good luck, and hopefully you will conquer…

Random suggestions:
- Both characters for males and females
- specific boss names, not just "dragon", "demon",...
- random dungeon generator
- mobdrops: potions (health, strenght, speed,...), armour pieces (rings,chestplates,...),...
- dungeon layers: Each layer in a dungeon has a specific theme, e.g. the last theme looks a lot like hell because its that low under ground and its a fucking boss room! Very Happy
- name: dimhús (old english for dungeon: http://www.oldenglishtranslator.co.uk/)

Vega, i switched to a new renderer, totally different and easier than SDL and OpenGL. It's Allegro Very Happy
Until now i managed to draw the logo on-screen without any difficult code which would need to be engineered by a master.

Fuck your.comments and your windows. You are already annoying me. I am trying to make a game for the very first time and all i get from you are stupid criticisms. So what if i move to Java? So what if i code in Linux? It's my choice what i do with my code because it is my duty to do the main programming. Windows is the single worst OS i ever worked with. Nothing works as it should on it. Not a single thing. The only reason i still use Windows is that damn Terraria which doesn't work in Linux. Other than that, Windows is plain useless for me. Don't make me code in Windows if i don't even like it. I don't make this game for you. I make it for me and for vega. If all you know to do is criticise the hard work of someone then get the hell out of here. You're not paying me or something to make this game.

Which items do we need? I'd say not an extra sword/staff/bow because of the storyline and those can be added directly on the character.

I'd suggest maybe rings/potions/.. Thińs that dont change the look of the character.

ok , why isn't good at sword ? and how you want to be ? ( i don't know how do a sword because is first time when i work in paint)
