The models have to be done in a certain way (.md3 i believe?) which i cant explain how to do because i have never made one myself Wink i do know how to use existing gunmodels and edit their sounds,...

Take a look at an existing .pk3 and you'll see it has a certain directory structure. In order for your models etc. to take effect in-game you need to keep that structure.

About the models: every model needs to be in .md3 format and named with a certain name (i.e. g_minstanex and v_minstanex). In the weapon model folder you need those two, no idea why but I make them two with the respective names and the .pk3 works fine, so I don't care about it any more Very Happy.

About the particles (.tga format): in this folder you place in most times the texture of your desired hook, the nexbeam and I actually dunno all the things you can edit from there. You need the specific names of the particles (look in a .pk3).

Sounds: certain names, .ogg format I believe.

In the textures folder you place the initial texture, spec map, normal map, etc. Names and format required. An example for all the texture maps needed for a complete and 'beautiful' gun is the regular nex (default). The pants and shirt textures determine the areas which will be affected by the pants and shirt colours in your player setup. The white area will be coloured whereas the black area will remain blank from the specific colour.

Basically this is all, I think this is a fairly detailed explanation, if I have forgotten something, don't hesitate to point it out. Smile

Converting the model really depends on what program you're using. For example, personally I use Blender to model a gun from scratch. Blender has its own exporter to .md3 (it is possible that it has to be added as an addon). To position and scale it to fit the game, I use Misfit Model 3D.
