Flag return time

So there have been some question about making the flag return time a bit longer. To see how many think that should happen and how many think not, here's a descussion with a poll

All Xono servers have faster flag return by default. I also needed to get used to it, but I like it now.

It gives the game even more speed, and promotes attacking strategy.

I vote NO.

No for me too. It's more difficult and interesting if the flag is faster.

i vote yes, i'm too slow for this flag return time and i always lose in 1on1!!!
ctf already rewards speed and movement over aim, let the disabled kids like me have some fun, i have a wheelchair attached to my hook....

I vote also yes ... often you don't have a possibility at all to prevent a cap when you lost the flag ... especially for 1vs1 that's bad ...
Youre right, the faster flag return makes the game more faster ...but in my opinion its a bigger challenge to make a cap if your enemies have time to prevent it

I vote for no... Xonotic gameplay is allready a lot slower than nexuiz. For example the regulars server has a slow hook but has the fast return. In my opinion our fast hook allready is a way to balance the fast return time. We could only change it for the 1on1 server but in the public one i feel like it's not needed.

finaly, i'm agree to take it longer.
When we played nexuiz, it was more intense cause u need to "confirm" ur cap and it was better in this way i think

okay, i would have an idea. actually for the "normal" ctf with more players i don't care that much, cause more player are attacking. but at the 1n1 server we could do it at least slower, thats the main point for me. cause its impossible to get near the flag, after you lost it, before your opponent caps..

Dunno, may thats the better way?

Ok guys,

Already a week ago i changed the return time on both servers. CTF 1on1 was most delayed, and i very slightly delayed the CTF server.

Did u guys even try the 1on1? If u feel both are still too short, let me know.
