New server !

Hello everybody,

Yesterday i spoke with vega about a new server : eLeMenT DM 1vs1. In my opinion, it's a good idea for 2 reasons. First, i love DM 1vs2. Second, a lot of players play on DM 1vs1 so, with this server, we can get to know our clan ! I have ideas some settings about refire, ammo, .... but i must discuss that with you.

we need maps to test the settings... anyway its just an idea and only 2 players will be able to join so no spectators. This will make it a light server and not take away to much cpu

Why only two players ? I thought we make DM 1vs1 with 4 spectators so a total of 6 players max ? After i don't know the how much of CPU is available ! But i have a problem, i don't know how to create a server so can i give you settings and you make that vega ?

1vs 1 with 4 or 6 slots should work? Otherwise we increase specs on VPS.

but if we increase specs that will cost more ;s but we can test around with the ammount of slots, if 6 makes the other one lag then we reduce

You know how to make server settings?

i know some commands to make some server settings as the refire, ammo drop, ammo start, ... But i don't know how to make power up off ! So i will see and i tell you except if you have another idea to i make me the settings ( IRC ??? ).

No problem ! We see if the host can support two servers ( with luck yes ) but we'll not make a lot of players for the CPU and because with a lot of players it is the chaos !

irc is just a chatclient that can be connected to game servers, well thats where we use it for. And since the nexuiz-xonotic community uses it a lot to its also great to contact people.

I told you, vega, about settings i uused in DM. They are :
Refire : 0,60
Ammo start : 10
Ammo drop : 7
