New LMNT server Clan Arean

Guys,

I put up a new server. A Clan Arena server. Back in Quake time, I used to enjoy this a lot...So i did some tweaking... and try it out http://stats.xonotic.org/server/6840

Hope we have some good fights there.

Nice idea kwakkie , works fine ...But hook + clan arena , i can't get the meaning of ...Because in ca you do not get damage from yourself , so hook is kinda useless and bit disbalancing against some campers

I don't like the vortex as much as the minsta gun... way to slow refire speed. It would make the mode less fun for me to be honest... Would love to see that change back reverted.

As for the hook, i think that's great. It makes for a lot more dynamic, especially in big maps. It also provides people who are less skilled in the 'other weapons' a way to get out of a fight, which without the hook is nearly impossible.

As for other future changes: maybe let the hook shoot out a bit faster and a bit more ammo for the minsta gun. This ammo also gets used for the gun that shoots an electric beam (not sure what the name is) and i've run out of ammo there multiple times, which is pretty anoying.

Didn't test yet, hook is as minsta or it is the weapon and you need to switch to it?

Well, I did try the server tonight (alone or almost) and that how I feel it:
Weapons balance are bad to me

The vaporizer (minsta) deals 120 dmgs each shot what is insane, we should first get it lower, also the reload is vaporizer's one, 1 secs what doesn't fit with the balance of others weapons (1.5 sec for vortex). You can easy focus someone and get him down with aim and vaporizer only :p
Plus, the system that it is a super weapon makes you loosing it with time, and it is one of the more important weapon and more that it is the only way to get the laser (easier for experiemented minsta players as there is the hook).

Second is about the RL (Rocket Launcher). The rocket launcher deals ok dmgs (80 if a direct hit) but there isn't reflected dmgs when hit near walls, what is also important to me.
Mortar has same problem.

About the hook, to me it can fits well with the mode, but may jetpack would be better, as hook makes things fast and all will play with vaporizer for laser and big dms, the jetpack may would bring more fun and a different gameplay.

So to me changes needed are:
-The vaporizer reload/dmgs/that it breaks with time. And if we can make more like vaporizer and laser as diffs weapons can be more fun/fair for all.
-The reflected dmgs with walls
-May try the jetpack as the bonus weapon

What you guys think of it?

Also may add more maps that a specific to nex/xon like stormkeep, dusty, and default ones, I can try to make a list if you wanna
