Yesterday i started reworking the config of our xonotic server because some people were reporting bugs to me and i thought this was a good opportunity to update some other suggestions i got.

First of all our hook is now a bit slower, i know we all loved how crazy our hook was but a few people complained about it so i made it a bit slower. There is however a command to switch between hooks: vcall oldhook and vcall newhook.
Our old hook:

g_balance_grapplehook_speed_pull 3500

Another typical thing for our server, which many people complained about, was the refire of the gun. Many told me it was like shooting a machine gun on our server... So ofcourse this needed an update as well. (The default refire is 1 second i believe.)
Our old refire:

The speedcap - normalcap command has finally been fixed so now it should work in xonotic:

Scores you get for certain actions also changed drasticly, this is to make it match more to other server so people can compare but still with our own twist to it (=the focus is not fragging, it's capping):

The rcon2irc has changed a bit as well. Since we only have 1 server running i changed the irc name back to CtfLmnt and it reacts to both CtfLmnt and ctf to talk ingame with the players from IRC. Besides that i also changed the welcome message irc gives you when you join the server.

One suggestion i got was to look into shootfromeye. I'll be testing thats soon.

What you think about adding Mario's mod? It will add the headshot feature and also there are client side instagib beams, for players with lag.
It will need 0.8.1 or recent though.

Depends... Mario sometimes adds certain things to his mods that he doesn't inform people about... I personally don't like that, let's see what the others think of it.

The beam work for minsta (purple) but many things are for vanilla by default (mortar's red trails for exemple)
