Player limit

Hello bros,

Today i saw that we have, as regulars a player limit : 5 per team.
Actually, i think we should get old 10vs10 back To try to get more players and more old school games !
Also, someone complainned today about player limit ^^ Our server is active for now, let's get it more !

What you guys think ?

May can we do a vote, "allvsall".
In this way, we always can switch to differents limit as we prefer. But when leaving, still getting allvsall back for all can play as they prefer.
I'm for a yes also to get oldschool back and if it makes few more happy, i'm with them

I think the issue is

will the server be able to handle it,

At least, we are the second most active serv for now, and today we reached about 14-25 players !

Yeh, i hear that regulars is having problems since 0.8.1 upgrade

Ah, never hearded of it Well, maybe it does come from this.
But i thought that is also that players don't wanna wait to play, with the limit of player, that's makes many waiting

Well we could indeed add allvsall which allows 10vs10 again for a testperiod. If we notice the server starts lagging again we just remove it again. What do you guys say?

But i'm fully agree to have a test period

I think that 5vs5 is enough, already too crowded for my poor video card that starts dropping fps
I'd love a 2vs2 and 3vs3 server even more

I don't think people will play it, There is not really veterants playing active for now. I'd like to get games like this, but people wont join i think cause they prefer when there is more people.

Also, we can vote for 2 or 3v3

Would be glad to have few games like it with you guys on the week-end

Sorry guys wasn't able to make it Turned out i had more work than i thought... I'm an intern teacher for the upcomning weeks so its even more crazy than normal. Hopefully i can find some time after that to come and join you guys again!

Well, get your time. Also the few first years will be crazy, but after all will goes so easier, you wont have to make the lessons (again) and you'll begin to see the easiest ways for you and your students

Thats true ABC it will only get easier from now on

I'm teaching 14 - 16 year olds like last time so they can be pretty anoying... xD

I do maths and history but no physics Thank god it's only a few weeks now though but after that i need to start working on a project to teach emigrants some stuff about being polite so i'll keep being busy untill i got my degree i'm afraid Ofcourse during holidays i'll come and play

In the mean time i did change server settings. Made it votable till 7vs7.

We aleady used it this weekend... we did reach 7vs7!

well i like 5vs5, don't like the 3vs3 that much. anyhow a 10vs10 could be awesome if your playing a big enough map. however i wouldn't forget the crowded games on lost space with 20 players always fun but its more like random shooting sometimes. well its fun anyway, but i would prefer a general 5vs5 and the vote allvsall for that 10vs10.

i think 6v6 or 7v7 would be appropriate. More players in a game would only do harm. In addition when there're like 12 players on the server and 2 people always would've had to wait until (maybe) next round they can play (and to be honest 6v6 and maybe even 7v7 are still kinda playable on most maps. So my opinion is 7v7. More would do harm and less also. I know i'm not a member, just adding my opinion based around my experiences :D

Aggreed here, 7vs7 is also quite fine

More players means more walking frags so more fun : )

Also in some cases will be nice when autobalance is on to be able to have 2 players difference instead of 1

I amgoing to close this thread, as i have made the server votable, all the way from 1vs1, 2vs2.... till 10vs10.

Just call vote "vcall 2vs2" of if you have server password, "vdo 2vs2"
