Wardruna is the best band in the world for bringing back the eternal spirit of the Old Norse tradition!
First there was Gap var Ginnunga, meaning the beginning of the world. There was a vast space of void and at the ends of this void were the cold lands and the warm lands, which together met and gave life to Ysmir, who created Yggdrasil, the World-Tree that supports the entire world, the tree where god Òdhinn hung for 9 days, only to come to life once more, and so the god of gods came back to life through Wardruna's mighty Runaljod albums Yggdrasil and Gap var Ginnunga, telling stories of how the world was made and how it has come to what it was in the times of the Northmen.
